Biography

TRAINING: A typical day of training for me is usually two to three sessions, depending on how energetic I feel. Some light cardio in the morning, a tougher sparring, wrestling or live rolling session, then a more technical skills-based session. Sometimes I might include S&C work also. I am usually in the gym all day, pretty much.

When and why did you start training for fighting? I started training MMA about 11 years ago. I was always a competitive person and I saw MMA as being the ultimate form of physical and mental competition, so I wanted to see how far I could go there.

What ranks and titles have you held? I am a brown belt in BJJ and I won the NAAFS 125-pound Championship in 2011 by beating current UFC bantamweight Jessica Eye.

Do you have any heroes? No

What does it mean for you to fight in the UFC? Fighting in the UFC is huge to me. It's the pinnacle of my sport and I can imagine no greater achievement in MMA than this.

Did you go to college and if so what degree did you earn? I studied english and history but dropped out to pursue my MMA career.
What was your job before you started fighting? I worked as a sales assistant in a show shop.

Specific accomplishments in pro competition? First ever Irish world champion, first ever Irish professional female MMA fighter
