What was the interpretation? What are you talking about? If there is an amendment to a statute an interpretation of a previous statute may no longer be valid, depending upon the effect of the amendment.

A simple internet search produced the following: In Nebraska, the age of consent is 17 years old. However, in certain circumstances, a person who is 16 or older can consent to sex with a person who is no more than 2 years older. Violating age of consent laws is considered statutory rape.
