Lemon Law Questions & Answers
Q: I purchased a car last Tuesday, if the seller knowingly sold it to me with a big problem (transmission) what can I do?

You can void the sale and/or seek a reduction in price. Try talking to the seller. If the seller will not negotiate, you will need to file a small claims case. For small claims, you can file pro se (w/o an attorney) or with an attorney. Your local courthouse will have self-help resources also try the CO courts webpage (link: http://www.intotolegal.com/upcoming%20Events/Forms.html ).
Q: I'm being sued for a car I sold as is. What are my rights? Not a lemon

Bring the Bill of Sale to a local attorney of your choice along with the complaint that has been served upon you to discuss defenses, and any potential counterclaims.
Q: Was the courts. In the wrong to bring up my illness and my criminal record regarding me being able to care for my kids ?

No, the courts can consider anything relevant when deciding what to do for a child's welfare.
Q: Mechanic has had car for three years and still isn't fixed. Plus he keeps giving us the run around. What should I do?

Get the car from the mechanic and take the car to a different mechanic. You have a duty to mitigate your damages so a court is not going to be very sympathetic to you for not taking matters into your own hands a long time ago so the longer you delay the worse your situation gets for you and the less any court is going to give you any recourse.
Q: Is a dealer allowed to sell a car with a fraudulent inspection? Can I sue for them to fix the items that wouldn't pass?

You might have a claim, but more info is needed. Talk to a local lawyer. A strong letter from a lawyer might help.

Q: Can I put Car Rental Fees on my Small Claims as part of Demand$?

You can certainly add any legitimate claim to a lawsuit. However, even in Small Claims Court, you will find that Ford or the dealership will be represented by an attorney. You, therefore will be at a disadvantage. You MAY be able to find an attorney to represent you on a Flat fee basis, but not necessarily. Consider your options carefully. Good luck.

Q: does a father have rights never married the child carries his last name .. The child is 13 years old

Q: How do I research litigation brought against an RV manufacturer by an individual based on "lemon law" ??
Q: is there anything i can do legally in missouri about buying a car as is, and it breaking down 35 miles later?

The issue with "as is" vehicles is that they are not covered under Missouri's lemon law. The lemon law only applies to new vehicles, not used vehicles. You may have an action for a breech of warranty, depending on what the dealer represented to you in the buying process.
Many attorneys offer free consultations, so feel free to call around and ask for legal advice.

I doubt it, but you might want to see a personal injury attorney about this.
Q: Hello, I recently left my job due to sexual harassment and belittlement at the work place. What lawyer would I go to??

When choosing an attorney for this legal issue consider: specialization, experience, results, character, compatibility. You want an attorney with a verdict or two in a sexual harassment case because the defense counsel will do a background check and even make calls to other defense attorneys who may have done business with your attorney. You also want to choose someone you can work with. You will be a partner with your attorney, and so think of it like picking a friend. You want both...

Q: Is this possible?

Anything is possible. Best advice: Secure a professional to assist you to ensure the deal is done right and to confirm they are making an accurate representation of the law. We have some very experienced and well seasoned attorneys working in this field here in Rhode Island. Cal the bar association for a referral if you cannot find one on your own.
Q: Does the car dealership have to give me a refund?

You need to retain counsel and have the attorney send the dealer a letter. The contract you signed will need to be reviewed by a retainer, but it is unlikely that a waiver of the Lemon law will be upheld by a Court. Good luck.
Q: Less than to month I pay a mechanic shop to replace my car engine with use engine now that use engine is broken

Did you mean two months, not to months? Have you spoken with the mechanic shop about this? Was there a contract that you signed and have you read the contract? It seems to me based upon the very limited facts that you provided, that you might have a suit against them for breach of an implied warranty for fitness of use. But hiring an attorney to sue would probably cost more than it would cost to get another engine or get the used one fixed. Negotiate with the mechanic shop about this.
