Investment companies do fall under banking, and other areas governed by statutes. Statutes, as a general rule, tend more to address types of industries, types of work, conduct, or specific actions more so than identifying companies. Good luck

I have phone recordings of both collections and bank. Wachovia says they stopped collections 2-3 years ago of statute of limitations.

If the origin of the debt was in Virginia and was connected to a written agreement, there is a 5 year statute of limitations that applies to the debt. The Statute of Limitations defense is an affirmative defense so it must be raised after a lawsuit is filed.

I have no idea what you are asking for, but start calling around for a lawyer to help you. Most attorneys will either help you or refer to somebody else that can. You can look around for websites, but you really need to talk to one either on the phone or in person.

Whoever is the estate fiduciary can file the return. The refund, if any, goes to the estate. The first $50,000 of any estate (unless there is a will) goes to the spouse. Thus, you need to determine if there is anything in it for you, if an estate is worth commencing, and if a return should be... Read more »

Yes, it is perfectly legal for someone to give you $1,000 for doing nothing. However, if you bite at this "opportunity" to make a quick $1,000 you will end up losing the entire $2,500--and perhaps lose a whole lot more. This is a scam.

Q: So I am still current. Was informed it would have no negative effect. I even Called to cancel Still it was reported

Since it was reported and new refinance lender found it reported they withdrew closing.

Was I not negatively affected?

Can I pursue?

Your inquiry is incomprehensible. You seem to be assuming that those viewing your question can read you mind and know what you are current on, what was supposed to have no negative effect, who said that, what you canceled, what was reported to whom, and whom you wish to "pursue".
