I am not in immediate physical danger but my home is mentally unhealthy and unstable.
No dice. Unless you have enough on your parents to make a police report and take the risk of going into foster care, you are stuck with your parents. Sometimes parents will agree to let a child stay with an aunt or grandparents, etc. If you run away, anyone who hides you is committing a felony.
You could try asking your local Legal Aid office if they can assist you or if they have a list. Possibly, the local county Bar Association could help point you in the right direction. If you have to represent yourself, the court should have a help desk that offers assistance with completing forms.
Our Founding Fathers understood this when they wrote the Constitution.

They are saying they do not have to replace the refrigerator so I will need to go to small claims. Do I need to keep the refrigerator that is broken? I do not have a place to store it do I need to rent a storage unit? if so can that be included in the lawsuit? Ideally I would like to get rid of it... Read more »
IMO the short answer for you is NO, you don't have to store the fridge, BUT!!! None, you would have to apply to the Court for a Writ of Mandamus. It has to be specially written.
