Q: Can I still be charged with a DUI if I wasn’t arrested or charged on the scene? I also have no memory of the event.

I was released from the hospital when I regained consciousness with no information from the police. Nobody was hurt, and the only property damage was my car. The last thing I remember before waking up in the hospital was talking to my dad while lying in bed at home.

Under New York State Laws only civil service employees have access to their own and colleagues' personnel files. Private organizations don't even have to provide access to employees' own personnel files under New York Labor Laws.

Q: Can owning a business hurt me for child support?

So if I’m using my vehicle and phones for work, would that still be used as a “personal expense”?

There are numerous factors that go into determining child support. Owning a business isn’t going to necessarily hurt or help you, it all depends on the factors when child support is determined. You income and expenses will be considered whether you own a business or work for someone who does.

Q: We have lived in a house covered in rotten asbestos shingles. We have done repairs. We have been exposed to it. What do?

We do? We were never made aware of the asbestos and have been asked to do repairs to it without ever being told of the dangers. We also have three children. We are scared we will die of cancer or our kids will....what can we do?

Q: Can a person who has been incarcerated on a civil commitment be also incarcerated on a criminal charge at the same time.

A friend was civilly committed over 10 years ago and then got charged and convicted for a separate crime. Is it legal to still have the civil petition against you while you are criminally convicted of a new crime?
