Mark has more than 35 years’ experience practicing intellectual property law. His practice includes patent preparation and prosecution covering complex electrical, computer, medical, and mechanical inventions. Mark has experience with all aspects of intellectual property law, including trademarks and copyrights. He routinely represents clients in intellectual property litigation, including being lead counsel in jury trials. Mark has been a court-appointed mediator in intellectual property cases, a presentation speaker at various continuing legal education (CLE) seminars on intellectual property law, and the author of several articles on intellectual property topics.

I am a Christian, husband, and father of five who has work experience in the sciences, manufacturing, and the mission field. I am a hard worker, a diligent researcher, and an effective representative. I am committed to providing excellent legal services to all those who will trust me to be their attorney. I started Coughlin Law Office with the goal of providing legal services to businesses and individuals throughout northeast Kansas and beyond.

Dale has spent his entire professional career working with and for inventors. He has been a registered patent attorney for seventeen years and has prosecuted hundreds of patent applications of all types to issuance. Dale has been very successful at making winning arguments to patent examiners that result in patent issuance. In addition, Dale is an excellent and personable communicator with his clients.
