Welcome to the new Friends website
At last I pleased to say the new website has arrived and whilst the information is limited at present more will be added.
Regrettably because of Covid-19 we’ve had to cancel all our events for the remainder of this year but more information about our future plans is given in the recent newsletter to members – see attached.

Friends of Ripon Cathedral – a lively and active organisation devoted solely to supporting the life of Ripon Cathedral which has been a source of inspiration and wonder to the local population and visitors to this part of Yorkshire for over 1300 years.
We welcome people of all faiths and none. The membership is made up of people of widely varying interests and talents, and from a variety of backgrounds, but all with a common interest – an abiding concern for the building and the influence it extends. In stone and glass, in art and music it continues to be an expression of the Christian faith in serving the local community in the city of Ripon and the wider region.
The Friends are, by virtue of their membership, through their subscriptions, donations and legacies and participation in events, pleased to play their part as members of the Cathedral community. Our contributions to many projects and improvements over some 80 years have helped sustain our Cathedral for the benefit of all.
You too can become a part of the ongoing story of our Cathedral, a place of peace, beauty and spirituality.
