Question

As someone who is a West London resident and who has family with businesses both in the zone and outside the zone in the West London extension, I too do not recognise the world that Angie Bray is presenting. I would like to say that a lot of residents in the ward I represent, Church Street, would love to be inside the zone, quite honestly, if it were possible to have a northern extension, but that is not possible technically.

I would want to limit my question to the West London extension. I understand that the residents of Kensington and Chelsea, whether they are inside the zone or outside the zone, will be getting the exemption. Can we have something similar to the residents of the City of Westminster?

We are talking about a small proportion of people in Kensington and Chelsea around Earls Court. The substantial part of Westminster north of Marylebone and Euston Roads is so substantial that if we did it there would be no justification for not doing it for say everybody in Camden or Islington and Southwark and Lambeth, then suddenly about the middle third of London is all exempt and the scheme collapses. Much though I would like to make your life easier, I am not able to.
