It was at the Otay border and I took the plea for 36 months. Washington state has basically decriminalized drug possession and I was just wondering if it could effect my case

I'm afraid not. The change in WA drug law was a very specific ruling based on the wording of the WA possession statute, which was unique in the country. This change would not affect convictions from any other state or the federal system.
If you want to read more about how the change... Read more »
He’s not giving me my overtime pay as well, when I work 90-100 hrs every 2 weeks. Also when I ask for a pay stub I get nothing from him. This also isn’t just happening to me either. He fired someone for confronting him about it.

It is illegal to retaliate against an employee for asking about their pay in good faith. You should keep your own written records of your hours worked to help document your claims for unpaid wages and overtime. In addition, you should put your pay concerns in writing to assist you with bringing a... Read more »
Convicted of DUI in 2004 in TN. Want DL in WA. Need reinstatement in TN. All fines/fees paid. Need DUI class certificate. Online classes not accepted by TN. No "in person" classes in Seattle.

With the recent proliferation of Zoom options explore a technical way to attend the Tennessee DUI under the Covid protocols, if the TN court approves that request.

Call your local bar association or Legal Aid Society.
Employer also lied about how I stopped working for him.

It is possibly retaliation, it is not possible to say based on the information you have provided. This sounds as though it was related to an unemployment insurance claim. You may need to obtain statements from witnesses or provide their contact information to whomever is investigating your... Read more »
Every single office I have called says they prosecute, but do not defend. How am I supposed to defend myself??

A Washington attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for a week, and time is of the essence in your reply to the summons and complaint. The problem you encounter is common. It is generally more difficult to find defense counsel than plaintiff counsel for personal injury matters... Read more »
I am thinking of decorating masks with nfl stickers and then selling them on a craft website.

Very likely. Consult with an attorney.

You need to sit down with an experienced criminal defense attorney today and talk about this situation because nobody can teach you how to defend these cases for you. This isn’t like calling up a plumber and getting instructions how to replace a sink. You need to just interview and talk to an... Read more »
I bought a house while married but its only under my name. My spouse signed a quit claim deed during the purchase. If we divorce, do I need to worry about losing the house?

You should consult with an attorney who can advise you on the complexities of community/separate property and your options when it comes to protecting your interest in the house.

I don't see a question here, but you should look at the end date on your order of child support to see whether it ends when your child turned 18 or when your child graduates from high school.
They have no other choice but to live with either one of the parents till they graduate?

The age of majority in WA is 18. This means that the parenting plan no longer applies once someone turns 18. There may be other benefits to remaining in a parent's home while still in school, so this person should probably take some time to think out all of the pros and cons of moving out at... Read more »

The lawyer needs to be licensed in the state where the court case is. The relocation will likely be litigated in the same court where you got your parenting plan, so that is where the attorney should be licensed.

There are many different types of protection orders under Washington law so it is difficult to answer your question. Generally, any order, including a protection order or no contact order, can be modified by the same court that issued the original order if there is good cause. For example, a court... Read more »
the property was a dog

Sorry to hear. The State may have determined that the value of the dog exceeded $750, which would result in a felony charge. The value of the dog is one of many potential issues that a criminal defense attorney can fight. It would be a good idea to call a criminal defense attorney today. Most of us... Read more »
Our neighbor is suing us for cutting down trees on "his" land, which is actually our land. (He is also suing us for a 30 x 330 ft portion of our land by claiming squatters rights as well as emotional damage etc. Its a disaster.) But I thought that if someone cut down trees on your land... Generally, both the land owner and the logger can be held liable under the described circumstances. The issue, however is complex in your case because there is a dispute with your neighbor regarding who is claiming ownership of the property where the trees are located. But, to answer your... Both sides get the opportunity to call witnesses at trial. However, there are rules requiring disclosure in advance, so the other side can prepare.

If you are suing you employer and refuse to participate in the deposition, your employer can move for an order to compel your attendance and monetary sanctions, and if you still refuse to comply, the Court can dismiss your case.

If that came up in a WA background check, I would start with WA State Patrol, as they maintain the database. This link has their contact information as well as a form to fill out to request to modify or correct a record:

I have added my husband as dependent and the College will issue I-20 for both of us. I know I have to apply for change of status from B2 to F1 visa. Does my husband has too apply for change of status too if he will be a dependent? If yes, for what king of visa? Thank you

You are the F1 and your husband will need to apply for the F2 unless he plans to comply with his visitor visa.

The other driver probably got a judgement against you for the damages in the crash. If you were uninsured, then you may be responsible for the other person's damages.
If that happened, then yes you will have to work out a financial arrangement with the other side before the hold on... Read more »
