Q: is a Real Estate Contract the same as a land contract
Anthony M. Avery
Anthony M. Avery answered on Oct 27, 2021

Possibly but probably not. Land Contracts are actually lease with option to purchase, which are very bad for the lessee/"purchaser" who may never get a Deed. Real Estate Contracts are usually a Contract to purchase real property, where the buyer gets a Deed at closing.

Q: In the state of KY, if I am salary and miss work because of COVID, should I still get paid?

I am a salary employee. I have COVID and am having to miss work because of it. Can my employer dock my pay because of this?

Rhiannon Herbert
Rhiannon Herbert answered on Oct 27, 2021

This will depend on how much work you will be missing. Salaried employees' pay may be reduced if they are absent from work for one or more full work days. However, if you only miss part of your work day, your pay cannot be reduced.

Insurance companies can run your record at any time and they have different protocols for raising your rates. My advice would be to always get a speeding ticket dismissed if you can.
