Biography

Luiz-Rafael Santos is a professor of applied mathematics the Department of Mathematics of Federal University of Santa Catarina - Blumenau. His research interests include analysis and implementation of continous optimization algorithms, convex optimization, algorithms for data science and machine learning and numerical analysis. He leads the Laboratory of Applied Mathematics, which develops open-source research solvers and algorithms in applied mathematics.
