How to change her house to my name? And her bank account ( She had only very small amount money)?

Bryan R. Bagdady answered on Jan 25, 2022

There is no such thing as changing the house to your name. You need to look at the deed and determine how it was titled. if in you Mom's name alone, then you will need to open an estate in order to transfer the asset. If the house was titled as joint tenants, then the property will pass, by... Read more »

There was only property damage. I only have uninsured bodily damage, not property. I was never contacted to go to court, but I went for the first appearance and was told if I didn't show up for the trial, the other drivers case would be dismissed. Unless the officer witnessed the accident/collision he has no personal knowledge of how the accident occurred-----that is why you would need to testify at the trial on the traffic ticket. I am an immigrant working on H1B work permit. I have recently been fined with Civil penalty (retail theft) and charged with misdemeanor.

1. Shall I make payment or wait for the judgement?

2. What is the consequence on immigration because of this?

I would retain a criminal defense attorney as that crime of moral turpitude will negatively affect your H1B visa and it will be cancelled. The defense counsel once retained could request a hearing and amend that criminal charge to a non CIMT (Crime of Moral Turpitude charge) misdemeanor. Once... Read more »
