Popular television shows have come a long way in their relatively short history, as is exemplified in the Movieweb 'Walking Dead' parody. Feeling nostalgic, the Movieweb team has posted an unfamiliar, lighthearted take on the popular zombie show.
With cheesy music (the song is the introduction from Growing Pains), clever manipulation of scenes and old-school fonts, this recreation is surprisingly convincing and definitely hilarious. The retrofied clip includes some of the gruesome zombie imagery that Walking Dead is known for, but turns the gory turmoil into a family-friendly story of perseverance.
The idea behind the creation is so simple, but the impact is strong. The video, and those like it, have been gaining a great deal of attention. Along with the general hilarity of the videos, they fabulously showcase the importance and power of editing.
