Abstract: Disclosed are some implementations of systems, apparatus, methods and computer program products for dynamically configuring a hardware device. A hardware configuration descriptor can be customized, where the hardware configuration descriptor includes a set of hardware interface attributes for use in configuring hardware interfaces of a hardware device and indicates one or more web addresses corresponding to computer-readable instructions configurable to control operation of the hardware device during runtime. The hardware configuration descriptor can be transmitted to the hardware device responsive to a request from the hardware device. The hardware device automatically applies the hardware configuration descriptor to configure its interfaces and subsequently accesses the web addresses during operation of the hardware device.

Abstract: Systems and techniques for managing data in a relational database environment and a non-relational database environment. Data in the relational database environment that is static and to be maintained beyond a preselected threshold length of time is identified. The data is copied from the relational database and stored in the data the non-relational database. Access to the data is provided from the non-relational database via a user interface that accesses both the relational database and the non-relational database.

Abstract: A first message indicating that a first digital token created within an on-demand database system and recorded in a public trust ledger external to the on-demand database system has been transferred from a first party within the public trust ledger to a second party within the public trust ledger may be received. The on-demand database system may communicate with the public trust ledger to add a wallet account as a secondary owner to a smart contract that includes a second digital token. The smart contract may identify one or more conditions for transferring the second digital token to the second party. A second message identifying the second digital token may be transmitted to the second party within the public trust ledger.

Abstract: A message batching configuration may be determined for transmitting a message to recipients. The message batching configuration may include two or more message batches, a respective recipient count for each message batch, a respective time delay between each message batch, and a performance metric for evaluating the message. The message is transmitted in accordance with the message batching configuration. The transmission of subsequent message batches is halted when it is determined that the designated performance metric fails to meet a designated performance metric threshold.

Abstract: A request to perform an action related to a smart contract recorded on a public trust ledger external to the database system may be received via a communication interface at a database system. The request may authenticate a designated database system account. A determination may be made as to whether the designated database system account is authorized to perform the action by accessing definition information for a public trust ledger synthetic party identifying a plurality of database system accounts authorized to perform one or more actions related to the smart contract. The database system may communicate with a token exchange to perform the action by executing the smart contract when it is determined that the designated database system account is authorized to perform the action.

Abstract: A request to exchange of a first quantity of a first fungible digital token type stored within a smart contract instance recorded in a public trust ledger and owned by a first party within the public trust ledger may be received via a communication interface at a database system. The request may authenticate a first account in the database system. The first account may be linked with the first party within the public trust ledger. The smart contract instance may be executed to determine whether the requested exchange is permissible based on one or more transaction rules included within the smart contract instance. The database system may be updated to reflect a transaction recorded within the public trust ledger when it is determined that the requested exchange is permissible.

Abstract: System, method, and/or computer program product embodiments for automatic removal of sensitive data items from records are disclosed. In one or more embodiments, a record with a sensitive field (for storing a sensitive data item) is linked to a self-removal data policy that includes a condition set. When the condition set is true, the sensitive data item is automatically removed from the record without deleting the record and without removing other data items stored in other fields of the record. Conditions may be associated with a time period following the upload or storage of the sensitive date item, the occurrence of an event that requires the sensitive date item, a read or approval of the sensitive data item, etc. A user may modify a condition in the condition set to make the condition more stringent or less stringent.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein provide an attentive network framework that models dynamic attributes with item and feature interactions. Specifically, the attentive network framework first encodes basket item sequences and dynamic attribute sequences with time-aware padding and time/month encoding to capture the seasonal patterns (e.g. in app recommendation, outdoor activities apps are more suitable for summer time while indoor activity apps are better for winter). Then the attentive network framework applies time-level attention modules on basket items' sequences and dynamic user attributes' sequences to capture basket items to basket items and attributes to attributes temporal sequential patterns. After that, an intra-basket attentive module is used on items in each basket to capture the correlation information among items.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to authentication token refresh. In various embodiments, a first of a plurality of instances of an application executing on the server system receives a request to provide content to a browser of a client device. The first application instance determines that an authentication token useable to provide the content has expired. The authentication token is maintained in a storage accessible to the plurality of application instances. The first application instance sends a refresh request for the authentication token to an authentication service. In response to the authentication service denying the refresh request, the first application instance waits for a particular period of time before checking the storage to determine whether another instance of the plurality of instances of the application has refreshed the authentication token.

Abstract: Techniques are disclosed relating to user authentication using multi-party computation and public key cryptography. In some embodiments, a server may receive, from a client, a request to authenticate a user to a service. The server may access key-pair information that includes, for a server key-pair, a first component of a server private key and, for a client key-pair, a client public key and a first component of a client private key. The server may generate a partial signature value that is based on the first component, but not the entirety, of the server private key. The server may send, to the client, an authentication challenge that includes challenge information and the partial signature value. The server may then determine whether to authenticate the user based on an authentication response from the client.

Abstract: Disclosed are some examples of systems, apparatus, methods and storage media for creating groups in a social networking database system, and more specifically, to creating groups based on network feed items. In some implementations, a database system is capable of maintaining a database including data associated with a plurality of users and groups to which the users can be subscribed. The system is configurable to provide a feed for display to a first user, and to receive input entered in a publication field by the first user. The system is configurable to create a feed item for display to the first user and to at least one second user based on the received input. The system is configurable to receive second input associated with the feed item from the second user. The system is additionally configurable to provide a selectable user interface (UI) element for display to the first user.

Abstract: A method for training parameters of a student model includes receiving one or more teacher models trained using sensitive data. Each teacher model includes one or more intermediate layers and a prediction layer coupled to the one or more intermediate layers. The method includes receiving, from the one or more teacher models, one or more intermediate layer outputs and one or more prediction layer outputs respectively based on public data. Student model training is performed to train parameters of the student model based on the intermediate layer outputs and prediction layer outputs of the one or more teacher models.

Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are described. A system may analyze a set of communication metrics associated with a communication process flow that controls electronic communications between a tenant and a set of users corresponding to the tenant. The system may detect an occurrence of an anomaly based on a communication metric of the analyzed set of communication metrics satisfying a communication metric threshold. The system may generate, based on detecting the occurrence if the anomaly, a data object comprising metadata associated with the anomaly. In some cases, the system may transmit, to a communication platform, a request that includes the data object, where the request is configured to cause posting of an entry of the data object into a communication channel of the communication platform that is associated with the tenant.

Abstract: A method and system for providing a scaling quota for a database system have been developed. The method defines a product that is defined by a client using a quota application programming interface (API). A report is created for the defined product with the quota API that is unique to the defined product and specifies a product quota and a limit endpoint for the report. The product quota is managed with a message broker by keeping an updated quota count for each report and product quota. An approval or rejection message is generated by the message broker for the client once the updated quota count reaches the limit endpoint. Finally, a response to the approval or rejection message from the client is generated for the database client by a limit provider application programming interface (API).

Abstract: A method by one or more electronic devices to detect flapping in a computer system. The method includes obtaining a plurality of metric values indicating a state of the computer system at various times within a time window, determining a combined length of lines connecting time-wise consecutive points representing the plurality of metric values in a cartesian coordinate system, wherein a first axis of the cartesian coordinate system represents time and a second axis of the cartesian coordinate system represents a metric associated with the plurality of metric values, determining a baseline length based on a maximum metric value within the time window, a minimum metric value within the time window, and a length of the time window, and determining whether the computer system flapped during the time window based on a result of comparing the combined length to the baseline length.

Abstract: A natural language processing system that trains task models for particular natural language tasks programmatically generates additional utterances for inclusion in the training set, based on the existing utterances in the training set and the existing state of a task model as generated from the original (non-augmented) training set. More specifically, the training augmentation module 220 identifies specific textual units of utterances and generates variants of the utterances based on those identified units. The identification is based on determined importances of the textual units to the output of the task model, as well as on task rules that correspond to the natural language task for which the task model is being generated. The generation of the additional utterances improves the quality of the task model without the expense of manual labeling of utterances for training set inclusion.

Abstract: According to some implementations, a data policy compliance service causes the display of a dashboard, wherein the dashboard identifies a first geographic region in which there is a datacenter hosting an organization instance of a customer of a cloud-based software provider. Responsive to user interaction, the data policy compliance service causes the display of the dashboard to reflect information regarding a possible migration of the organization instance from the first geographic region to a second geographic region of the plurality of geographic regions. The information includes a set of one or more compliance assessment metrics reflecting a level of compliance of the organization instance with data privacy and/or data security laws, regulations, and/or policy.

Abstract: A method and system that perform cluster node work assignments for tenants in a multi-tenant system. The method includes selecting a partition of a cluster tenant tracking structure having a hierarchical namespace and virtual nodes representing each tenant by a cluster node foreman controller, searching the selected partition for a tenant that is unlocked in the cluster tenant tracking structure, and initiating work for the tenant by the cluster node.

Abstract: Embodiments described in this disclosure illustrate the use of self-/semi supervised approaches for label-efficient DST in task-oriented dialogue systems. Conversational behavior is modeled by next response generation and turn utterance generation tasks. Prediction consistency is strengthened by augmenting data with stochastic word dropout and label guessing. Experimental results show that by exploiting self-supervision the joint goal accuracy can be boosted with limited labeled data.

The method includes generating a first network of a machine learning model with a first set of parameter initial values, and generating a second network of the machine learning model with a second set of parameter initial values. First clean probabilities for samples in a training dataset are generated using the second network. A first labeled dataset and a first unlabeled dataset are generated from the training dataset based on the first clean probabilities. The first network is trained based on the first labeled dataset and first unlabeled dataset to update parameters of the first network.

Abstract: Approaches for natural language processing include a multi-layer encoder for encoding words from a context and words from a question in parallel, a multi-layer decoder for decoding the encoded context and the encoded question, a pointer generator for generating distributions over the words from the context, the words from the question, and words in a vocabulary based on an output from the decoder, and a switch. The switch generates a weighting of the distributions over the words from the context, the words from the question, and the words in the vocabulary, generates a composite distribution based on the weighting of the distribution over the first words from the context, the distribution over the second words from the question, and the distribution over the words in the vocabulary, and selects words for inclusion in an answer using the composite distribution.

Abstract: Implementations are described for selectively publishing an event responsive to an operation on a database in a transaction. Publishing the event is delayed or not delayed respectively, responsive to determining that a value of an attribute for the event indicates that publishing the event is to be delayed, or not to be delayed, until the transaction is rolled back or committed. If publishing the event is delayed, the event is published if the transaction is committed and discarded if the transaction is rolled back. If publishing the event is not delayed, the event is published. Optionally, if the event is published, the event is published in a database or a datastore respectively, responsive to determining whether another value of another attribute for the event indicates that the event is to be published in a database or a datastore.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for providing a security model to customizable live applications in a cloud collaboration platform. The security approach may dedicate a frame to each live application, serving the frame from a different domain than a document in which the live application is embedded. This approach ensures that more stringent security requirements may be required of the live application and allows the data presented to the live application to be narrowly tailored. The security model may further leverage sandbox attributes and content-security policies to restrict the behavior of sandboxed and non-sandboxed live applications in accordance with best security practices.

A contact based on at least one of the message objects for each communication is identified. A subset of the message objects corresponding to communications associated with the contact among the plurality of communications is aggregated to obtain aggregated message data.

Abstract: An HTML file transmitted to a client device is configured to call JavaScript code, where the JavaScript code is configured to call a requestAnimationFrame browser application programming interface (API) with an argument identifying a callback function. The callback function is configurable to cause the web browser to: 1) reset a first Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) animation of a first DOM element, the first CSS animation being configured to cause the first DOM element to transition from a hidden state to a visible state during a first time duration specified by a first animation-duration property of the first element using a specific set of CSS properties; and 2) call the requestAnimationFrame browser API with the argument identifying the callback function. Thus, the first DOM element remains hidden as long as the browser performs frame refreshes at an optimal rate. However, when the browser's main thread is busy, the first DOM element transitions to a visible state.

The ticketing system includes a ticket database to store a plurality of tickets, each ticket defining a job to be performed on a computing system, and a master to create a ticket, store the ticket in the ticket database, and update the ticket. The ticketing system includes a supervisor to request the master to find a stale ticket, and, if found, to request the worker to abort performance of the job defined by the stale ticket.

Abstract: A server of a generative adversarial network (GAN) for color selection; generates a training set of color palettes. A color palette generator of the server generates a first set of color palettes based on the training set of color palettes. The first set of color palettes may be compared with a reference set of color palettes to predict a curated set of color palettes. Colors from the curated set of color palettes may be removed that are within a predetermined distance from one another in a color space. The GAN may be validated by performing cluster analysis to determine outlier latent dimensions to be changed for the color selection by the GAN. Proposed color palettes may be generated based on the GAN to be displayed on a display device.

Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products for tracking, encoding and decoding the code-location of runtime events. The system modifies a request packet to access a resource initiated by a source address to indicate the request packet was sent by an intermediary address. The system injects an identifier pre-allocated for the source address into the request packet. The system updates the modified request packet by replacing the intermediary address with a substitute address that corresponds with the source address' pre-allocated identifier. The system sends the updated request packet to the resource, the updated request packet indicating a response to the updated request packet is to be sent back to the substitute address.

The online tool GUI includes: a first main tile including a use-case for a first online tool; a first use-case navigation button configured to generate, when selected, a request for the first main tile to be displayed within the online tool GUI; and a second use-case navigation button configured to generate, when selected, a request for a second main tile to be displayed within the online tool GUI. In response to a selection of the second use-case navigation button, the online tool GUI replaces the first main tile with the second main tile including a use-case for a second online tool.

Abstract: Database systems and methods are provided for identifying a change associated with an update to executable code resulting in test failure. One method involves calculating risk scores for different changes associated with the update based on change characteristics associated with the respective changes, identifying a change from among the different changes associated with the update based on the risk scores associated with the respective changes, generating a modified update to the executable code that includes the identified change and excludes remaining changes of the update from the modified update, and initiate execution of one or more tests with respect to a compiled version of the modified update to the executable code. When execution of the one or more tests against the modified update results in a test failure, the change is identified as a potential root cause of the test failure associated with the update.

Abstract: Described herein is a system and method for capturing data associated with actions attempted by an automated agent. The system described herein captures data associated with the actions attempted by an automated agent during the messaging session between an automated agent and the user and present a summary of the actions in a messaging platform. In an embodiment, the automated agent uploads data associated with actions attempted during the messaging session to a server. The server captures the data associated with the actions and generates a description of each action that was attempted. The server generates a summary including the description of each action. The summary of the actions are rendered in the messaging platform.

Abstract: Systems, methods, and computer-readable media for temporary reservation schemes, are provided. In embodiments, temporary reservations are inserted into non-relational datastore, and update records indicating changes to the non-relational datastore are streamed to processing nodes. The processing nodes store the update records in local expiration windows. The expiration windows are periodically polled for expired temporary reservations, which are then removed from the non-relational datastore. Other embodiments may be described and/or claimed.

A first electronic mail message received via a network from a first client device is processed, where the first electronic mail message has a header including a message identifier. The message identifier is obtained from the header and parsed such that an encrypted portion and one or more unencrypted portions are obtained, where a first unencrypted portion of the unencrypted portions includes an entity identifier associated with a first database record of a database. A secret key associated with the first electronic mail message is obtained and the first electronic mail message is authenticated using the secret key, the encrypted portion of the message identifier, and at least one unencrypted portion of the unencrypted portions of the message identifier.

Abstract: A method and system for capturing dynamic data from data fields of a product has been developed. The method includes first collecting a product data set with multiple data fields. Static data fields of the product data set are identified that contain pre-defined standardized data for multiple other data sets. Next, dynamic data fields of the data set are identified. A dynamic data field is created by a user and contains additional data that is unique and applicable only to the product data set. The static data fields and the dynamic data fields are stored separately in a database repository for later recovery.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for modifying an application provided by a cloud-based computing system. The application is used by end users of an organization that is part of the cloud-based computing system. A clickstream monitoring module monitors a clickstream generated by each end user as that end user interacts with the application to generate a set of clickstream data for that particular end user. Each set of clickstream data indicates a path of interaction with features of the application by a particular end user. The sets of clickstream data can then be processed at an analytics engine to extract usage patterns that indicate how end users interact with different features of the application during usage of the application. The extracted usage patterns indicate which features the end users interact with and in what order.

Abstract: A method for enhanced web browsing includes receiving, by an executable application associated with a web browser on a computer system, a user selection of a reference to a business entity included within contents of a web page being displayed by the web browser during a user browsing session. The executable application causes the web browser to display an object in response to the user selection of the reference to the business entity. The object includes information associated with the business entity retrieved from a third-party information source. The executable application transmits instructions to store the information associated with the business entity retrieved from the third-party information source in an on-demand database based on a user input.
