Unfortunately, you have not provided enough information. When you say "detachment" it sounds like Military, and they can be subject to special rules. If this is normal employment, you can be protected by pregnancy leave laws found in the Government code § 12940 and following.... Read more »

Q: Why do they want to change my Contract for deed to Vendor's lien deed?

I am purchasing my home with a Contract for deed for the last 4 years. Received an email today from seller wanting to change my Contract for deed to a Vendor's lien deed. What does this mean for me?

Without being able to read minds, my best guess is property taxes. With a contract for deed, you don't own the property and therefore are not responsible to pay the property taxes. Q: Internet co. Installed 3ft high box on property w/o consent or notice. What are my options to remove or be compensated?

IMO the first thing you need to do is to determine if your property has a utility easement (most do) and if the box installed by the internet provider is within the easement (sometimes, they do make mistakes).
