the show starts off very strong, and i frankly loved all of what was there. however, the ridiculously poorly timed cliffhanger (at episode seven???) left us with no real resolution to the season, and it's glaringly obvious that the show is unfinished. i deeply doubt that this story has an entire second season worth of ideas left, and so i can't rate the project highly as a whole. we needed 1 or 2 more episodes, not a second season that might never come. there's also the very bad implementation of this sort of "corny/ironic superhero" stuff that amazon has been doing for some time, and it really makes it feel like the concepts at play are being diluted and refitted to suit this weird, mass appeal genericism. i would be willing to bet that the writers don't even have a follow up to all the weird unexplained stuff that happened in season 1, and that doesn't leave me too hopeful for s2.

This show is filled with poor writing, if you can call that writing, and acting to match it. Its stung together by some kind of story that is UNCLEAR. It feels like the goal of this show was to make me cringe at an awkward giant that is kept hidden for no reason, because the moment he's out in public NO ONE CARES!! This show is a waste of time. It seems like some one came up with a good idea, about race, bigotry, culture, and society, and then just Sh*t the bed all over the writing, acting, and filming. Zero Stars

A visual feast and — for those who are already acquainted with the leftist paradigms Riley misuse upon — an intellectual snack.

Lots of fun. Thought provoking. A recommendation to all. Episode 7 is a must see. After having watched episode 7 I'm going to need to watch it all again.

Overall extremely high quality, not a single weak link. Great acting humor and bizarrely original story, reminded me almost of a feel-good version of the Boys, though it's not all happy. A little heavy with the politics (we can all go on a crime spree now, because anyone who isn't rich is not responsible for their actions under capitalism!), but in general fantastic. Walton Goggins is a treat as always.
