I think this show is spellbinding. It's a MYSTERY! It sounds like the other reviewers were confused by the fact that there are many unanswered questions in the early episodes. THAT'S WHAT A MYSTERY IS! The show sets up lots of questions in your mind. The fun is in watching as layers are peeled, and things become revealed. Tom Holland's performance - as someone who is clearly suffering and struggling (and yes, we don't know why in episode #1!) - is riveting for me. Amanda Seyfried is hard to take your eyes off of. No one wants to put out any mental energy for anything anymore - which is why our entertainment and our culture continue to become more and more vapid. All of the episodes are not released yet. My experience with this series is: do a little work, and you'll be rewarded!

The acting is stellar, but the entire project drags a bit and could be an episode (or more) shorter IMO. I wish it wasn't so bloated and meandering because Holland, Seyfried, and Rossum are very good...and their performances make it worth watching.

I need to catch up but the first two episodes were thrilling. Tom Holland is so impressive. I hope we will be watching him for many years to come. So sorry the critics panned this because his performance is certainly award worthy. Amanda S. is such a fine actress. She manages to be believable despite being a great beauty.

At first I read the reviews and hesitated to spend time on this series but I'm glad I went with my instincts. It's true that the pace feels slow and one my get impatient at times but the acting, the writing and the plot makes it all worth it. Tom Holland acting is superb. I just binged all 5 episodes. It's fantastic!

I think the show is brilliant. Love the pacing. All actors are killing it, and Tom Holland, Amanda Seyfried, and Will Chase deserve Emmy nominations, period. I love the way Akiva is bringing a personal experience to the show. It is not up to the critics to tell me what to watch especially when you can see their asses are being biased. They claimed Don't Look up was ok and it rec'd an Oscar nomination. That's disgusting when other movies were way better and deserved those slots. I would love to be a critic in this day and age of social media, when everything is based on popularity and not what is knowingly exceptional acting. Looking forward to the rest of the show.
