Definitely not as bad as the critics are making it out to be. It doesn't hit like Euphoria and the performances are not nearly as invigorating as Euphoria but it's certainly worth a watch. The cinematography, music, Drop's performance are all worth a watch. Let it have its 5 episodes and then let Sam focus on Euphoria again!

The one star goes to Lily-Rose and Lily-Rose only. There could be only so much that could have been done with the given direction and script, but The Weeknd's awful execution of Tedros and the repetitious/spiritless teleplay outweighed any potential good that could have come from the show. Some of the scenes are organized like a obscene adult video, which provide with no actual purpose to the overall message of the show. This is definitely the worst piece of media to come out of HBO, and the disheveled show ever constructed. If the show gets canceled, just know it was never meant to be a limited series, but the show-runners might say that, to try to save face.

I know it sounds bad, but I got tired of looking at Depp gyrating around constantly. She is not compelling enough to lead anything. Gag, then comes The Weeknd, who is not only also hard to look at but also he just cannot act without music behind his voice. What a boring and gross mess. Don't waste your time.

Nobody's ready to hear this. But there's way too much political bias ahead of any IP featuring this racial configuration, therefore no objective reviews can be given. I have yet to see IP with a white woman and black man who are both young and stunning, get a positive review from anyone. Yet Bridgerton proves the world is more than ready for such a racial configuration. So getting that out of the way, here is my objective review. Like any IP on HBO, and I've said it repeatedly for everyone, I despise the foul use of language. If you look at any of my reviews you will see that consistency. Otherwise, whether you like it or not, the weeknd is a brilliant actor. That makes him a triple threat. You know when actor is good, because he or she gets a visceral negative or positive response, and not indifference. Sure enough, except for me, he gets a visceral negative response. As for Lily Rose, I will say it. The apple does not fall far from the tree. You can tell that both actors are friends, as they both have stated. The chemistry is off the charts. If people are going to blast this show only two episodes in, then I have a right to a complete review also, just two episodes in. It's extremely compelling, and I noticed that monster's Ball got positive rave reviews from these same critics. Just saying. Not a compliment to those critics, because of deeper issues where this country is concerned. Is hypocritical to hate this and love monsters ball. Monsters ball gave Halle her first award. Not very complimentary for Hollywood. I suppose this will not get an award. But I'm best guessing that the ratings will more than make up for that. Apparently it takes the slapping up side of the head and beating down and abusing verbally, a producer, the way Sam Levinson was, before he decides he doesn't give a you know what, and just goes and rails up against Hollywood, by making this IP. Good job Sam. But now, hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long line of ip with this racial configuration, without the hate. And without the language. Hopefully there will be a lot of PG rated such romances. I'm wondering if this review will make the cut. If it does, it'll prove that rotten tomatoes is the one site, that is what it appears to be: a site asking for honesty and it's reviews.

It's has unnecessary amount of nudity, they are playing into the trope of mental illness is "hot". The "female gaze" in this show was a lie it 100 percent feels like a man wrote this. Why is the Weeknd even in this, he can't act and wants his character to be more main than lily's character which is already contradictory to the shows message. The only part I was excited for was Alexa Demie's 1 second cameo. Why is jennie kim in this she can't act either. Can't believe euphoria season 3 got pushed back cause of this bullshit

So bad I have signed up to rt to leave a review. Awful acting from the Weeknd, offensive and misogynistic. Lily was good, she did the best she could. Makes me doubt the weeknd as a person as he co-created, like he is actually like the character..

This series is amazing! It has thrilling moments, romantic elements, and portrays complicated lives. It has a bit of everything you could ask for. Please give it a watch, as I loved the performances of all the actors. Each actor portrayed their character exceptionally well. it will be become a fantastic series overall.

This show isn't as bad as the critic said, but it is definitely not good. And the weeknd is a bad actor. The plot isn't existed. It is a real mess. But troye, Jennie ruby Jane and lily rose depp served and left no crumbs. They were incredible.
