Jake Conklin and Taylor Lewan helped the Tennessee Titans grade out as the top offensive line in the NFL this season, according to
.
Conkin, a rookie right tackle from Michigan State and Plainwell High School, and Lewan, a third-year left tackle from Michigan, earned the top grades as the Titans received the top nod over the Dallas Cowboys.
Conklin, the Titans' first-round draft choice who was also a Pro Bowl pick by PFF, had the top overall grade among the Titans' linemen at 88.9, which ranked fifth among all offensive linemen in the NFL this season, according to PFF.
Lewan, a first-round pick in 2014, was the top run blocker on the team and his grade of 88.4 put him second in the NFL in that category.
"It seems heretical to suggest that the Dallas Cowboys did not field the best offensive line in the game in 2016, but Tennessee's unit really was without a weakness all season," PFF wrote of the Titans line. All five starters earned impressive grades in both run blocking and pass protection ... No member of the offensive line surrendered more than three sacks on the season."
Conklin and Lewan were joined on the line by guards Josh Kline and Quinton Spain and center Ben Jones. The unit helped the Titans to 2,180 yards rushing yards with 1,777 from running backs DeMarco Murray and Derrick Henry.
The Titans finished 9-7 and out of the playoffs.
PFF ranked the Cowboys second and Pittsburgh Steelers third. The Detroit Lions were 19th.
