US Open Prize Money 2024

The 2024 US Open prize money has reached $75 million for the first time, eclipsing the previous record of $65 million set in 2023.

The total prize money pool for 2024 stands at $75,000,000, the highest amount ever offered and an increase of 15.38% compared to 2023.

The champion in New York will receive a cheque for $3,600,000, 20% more than Novak Djokovic and Coco Gauff received last year when they lifted the trophy engraved by Tiffany and Co.
The runner-up will also receive 20% more than in 2023, with $1,800,000 heading their way after the final.
The percentage increases for the remainder of the draw are similar. For example, first-round losers bag $100,000, 22.70% more than in 2023. Losers in qualifying can also expect increases should they not make the main draw; Q1 losers will receive $25,000, up 13.64% from twelve months ago.
This year, the US Open Wheelchair Championships are not being staged due to the Paralympic Games; the USTA has instead compensated the players who would have been entered into the US Open via direct acceptance with a player grant, which is the equivalent of prize money.
Since 2014, the total prize money on offer has increased by 96.07% ($38,251,760.00 in 2014) and for the first time, every main draw round receives at least six figures in remuneration.
All players will also receive travel vouchers of $1,000, as well as two hotel rooms in the official player hotel (or $600 per day if the player chooses to lodge at another accommodation). Players will also see an increase in meal allowance. In addition, players will receive free racquet stringing of up to five racquets per round.

Prize Money Breakdown for the US Open 2024
The tables below give a full round-by-round breakdown of prize money at this year’s US Open tournament: the men’s and women’s singles (equal prize money) and the men’s and women’s doubles.
The US dollar amounts have also been converted into GBP and Euros to compare. The exchange rate is from late August but will be updated to the mid-market exchange rate on the day of the final when the tournament is complete.
