The Hubble Space Telescope was launched in 1990 and is one of NASA's Great Observatories. It was built by NASA with contributions from the European Space Agency. Hubble has undergone five servicing missions to upgrade and repair its instruments. Some of Hubble's instruments include the Wide Field Camera 3, Advanced Camera for Surveys, and Cosmic Origins Spectroscope. Hubble has made many significant contributions to astronomy and produced over 9,000 scientific papers.
