I have a list of devices info.

I saw the “How to Import devices into Spicework” with this sample format:

Name,Manufacturer,Device Type,Model,IP Address,Serial Number,Location,Operating System

However, i need to separate these devices into Groups i have created in Spicework. Anyone can help? Thanks.

By the How-To, you mean the Import Devices into Spiceworks How-To?

The steps there will help guide you along the way to importing a device list from csv. First make sure you’ve created a csv file. Make sure you include at least the serial number as that is the primary key. If you want to categorize your devices into groups, then including the Device Type field will makes things easier. You may also want to copy that to the bin folder along with the ruby script as indicated in step 2. You may also need to open the command prompt as an administrator.

Once the devices are imported, setting up your groups is just a matter of setting your group rules, as icefish mentioned. Groups are not buckets in Spiceworks, but instead dynamic.
