Because Unitrends loves all SpiceHeads almost as much as we love BACON, we’re extending our free NFR license to you all. That’s right… you heard me!

Just enter SPICYUEB for the promo code when you register your NFR version of Unitrends Enterprise Backup

It runs on Hyper-V (even the new Server2012 versions) and VMware - so pick your poison!

Happy virtualization from Unitrends!

I don’t know if a corporation can blush, but if it can, our black logo just turned beet red  Thanks John!

NICE!!!

I am going to have to upgrade to the NFR version over the free version and see if I can get my backups to a NAS device  !!!

What do you put in the field for “Certification Number or VMUG Chapter”

should I just put Spiceworks?

Ho-ly shizballs. This is a complete SMB backup solution for free now. One exchange, one SQL, a phone server, maybe an old NAS/SAN, and probably a 2xQuadcore VMWare server. Bloody amazing. Go Unitrends!

We’ve been backing up to an NFR for a week now. We’ve got the datacenter reading the rack space so that we can mount directly next to the main vSphere platform so that we can do local backups, over the WAN right now.

Well I love my 712 that I got and I can back up ALL of my severs BUT this configuration was EXACTLY what I was looking at had mgmt not approved the 712… think I woulda gotten bonus points for getting it for FREE though instead of a few grand… but hey like I said I’m EXTREMELY happy with my appliance… makes me warm and fuzzy inside

And you can grow and grow and grow and never spend another dime on licenses, or worry about hardware, and you have support, and you are a rockstar living in the Unitrends world now :]

Although you would have needed a platform to run it on. So getting the 712 gets you the hardware and support too. Pretty important in most cases. So not all bad

Oh I am not upset at all that I just spent a few grand - I have Hyper-V and room on my nas to store backups - the UEB version which would have been this exact licencing was just a backup plan that mgmt never knew about. To me the appliance was/is still the way to go… Very very happy with my decision and now that mgmt is seeing it in action I think they are stomaching my large purchases as of late… I am all about ROI and good deals
