Check the finder logs for a bios_date: field for these devices. Does that field look like 03/06/2013 or more like 03-06-2013?
What kind of Linux machines are these?
Hi Scott,
there are 2 machines. #1 is ClearOS Professional (our gateway / firewall /content filter), a CentOS 6 derivative.
#2 is Ubuntu 10, I think running our website.
I deleted both machines from the inventory in spiceworks and deleted the account credentials.
I created a new user on the machines and added them to wheel and sudoers.
I then had spiceworks rescan the machines. They are back in inventory but only have basic information, like the service tag and harddrive size and % free.
the network cards aren’t show, or memory, etc.
any suggestions?
