Twelve South’s new 15W Qi2 HiRise 2 Deluxe MagSafe stand
Twelve South’s MagSafe stand lineup has long been a favorite of ours – I have the HiRise 3 Deluxe on the desk in front of me right now – and the brand new HiRise 2 Deluxe delivers the same quality materials with the vegan leather covering and overall design approach, just with the new Qi2 action in place.
The brand has equipped HiRise 2 Deluxe with 15W Qi2 charging action on the main MagSafe pad alongside a 5W Qi pad in the base.
This 15W of juice by way of the Qi2 standard has been making its way through the charging industry over the last year or more and for good reason – powering devices at double the speed of the old 7.5-watt standard and typically at a lower price than the official 15W MagSafe models. While Apple has upped the ante on its in-house MagSafe charger to 25W, that’s really the only one that can do it, the iPhone 16 is the only device that can handle it, and it, frankly, is really just overkill for all but the most power hungry of grab and go users.

That aside, the new HiRise 2 Deluxe presents another ultra clean, perfectly minimalist charging stand that takes up less space on the desktop or nightstand and makes for a wonderful charging solution for folks that don’t need the integrated Apple Watch charger found on the more pricey 3-in-1 variant (it is, however, still seeing a deep price drop for Prime Day through this weekend).
The main MagSafe charging pad is an adjustable one so you can dial in the ideal viewing angle (70-degree tilt action) and supports both vertical and horizontal orientations for StandBy mode.
I have had a chance to quickly test out the new HiRise 2 Deluxe at the office here over the last couple days, but with the Prime Day madness a full review is still in the pipeline. Having said that, and considering how similar the design is here to the 3-in-1 I have been using for a while now, I can confidently say this is a wonderful charger. I will need to put it to work for at least a few more days just in case, but Twelve South has never let me down, and there’s no reason to expect it will this time.
