After quickly jumping back up in price, we are now once again tracking the base model 14-inch M4 MacBook Pro down at $1,399 shipped in silver and Space Black. While shipping is currently delayed on the silver model, the Space Black is ready to be delivered at the discounted rate right now. This is a regularly $1,599 configuration seeing a straight up $200 price drop to mark the lowest price we can find on Apple’s latest and most affordable M4-equipped laptop.
We did recently feature this machine at $1,400, but that price quickly jumped back up only to drop once again and reveal the $1,399 we have here today. This is matching the Black Friday price from last year – while we did see the Space Black variant drop to $1,395 for a very brief time, today’s deal is otherwise on par with the lowest we have tracked.
On the last-generation M3-based MacBook Pros, you know the ones that released before Apple decided 8GB of RAM on the base models just want’t enough anymore, the most affordable machines started to feel annoyingly underpowered. That, fortunately, is no more, as Apple ships all of its new base model Macs (at least before you start getting up into the more premium M4 Pro/Mac machines anyway) with 16GB of RAM, making the M4 we have on sale here today all the more enticing.
