ECOVACS officially launches new X9 PRO OMNI robo vac with real-time self-cleaning roller mop at $300 off

Today ECOVACS is officially launching its new T80 OMNI and the DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI we have had a chance to test out for a few days now. Featuring “industry-first technology,” the company says they provide “next-level hygiene, performance, and convenience to more households than ever before” alongside some notable $300 launch deals starting today.

The DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI brings together two of the brand’s “breakthrough innovations” – BLAST vacuuming technology and the OZMO Roller Mop with the ability to self-wash itself in real-time while cleaning your floors with separate clean and dirty water tanks built into the robot, not just when it gets back to the station (the “system refreshes the mop with clean water on the go while isolating dirty water”).

Another nice touch on this model is the “first-of-its-kind” lifting main and side brush that raises bristles “when wet messes are detected” – this “helps prevent streaking, contamination, and scattered mess, ensuring spotless, hygienic results on every surface.”

The 16,600Pa suction power on this model isn’t the most powerful on the market, but I have always found that just about all modern robot vacuums north of 10 or 12K Pa can get the job done just fine on hard floors. That in combination with the BLAST tech has done a fantastic job on my floors, including right into the corners and up against the sides of the walls – not a single speck is missed on the hard floors and it can automatically increase suction on area rugs to dig in deeper.

While I have only had a few days to really put the new DEEBOT X9 PRO OMNI to work thus far, I am very much liking what I’m seeing here.

The mapping process, which something that has become an extremely integral part of the success of these modern robots, was once again flawless. I detailed how this all works in my review of the ECOVACS DEEBOT X2 Combo model, which includes the side-mounted hand vacuum alongside the robot action, and it was very much the same with the X9 PRO OMNI. Plug it in, quickly make sure there isn’t anything on the floors that shouldn’t be, and just push go – the robot makes its way around your home and automatically maps out the rooms, major furniture pieces, and so on. It works just about perfectly the first time, I just had to draw in one room divider for one of the more open-concept areas in my space (the kitchen and main living space are effecting one large room divided by an island).

The OZMO Roller integration tech here is a really nice touch – it allows the vacuum to keep the mop roller clean in real-time as opposed to sort of mopping your space with a dirty pad until it returns to the docking station for a refresh and, while I’ll need to see how this pans out over the next few weeks of regular cleaning to know for sure, I certainly love the sounds of this.

Expect a complete rundown and hands-on feature once we have been able to really put this thing to work, but if it’s anything like the last model I have used for several months from ECOVACS, you can expect the X9 PRO OMNI to be one of the best in the business with some notable enhancements over previous flagship releases.
