TP-Link and its Tapo lineup are well known for delivering particularly affordable smart home solutions, and today it is officially debuting the all-new DL100 Smart Deadbolt Door Lock. Dubbed as the brand’s latest smart lock at an entry-level price point, it is now available for purchase via Amazon for just $69.99 alongside a $10 launch discount that drops the total of this new release down to $59.99 shipped

When it comes to just about all of the major smart product categories, you’ll be hard-pressed not to find a TP-Link variant on the more affordable spectrum of the options. Its new Tapo DL100 Smart Deadbolt Door Lock is a perfect example of just that, delivering “connected smart home access at entry-level budgets without paywall restrictions.”

The brand highlights its multiple unlocking methods, including “the Tapo app, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, directly on the device keypad, with a physical key, or via compatible smart home assistants” – those include Alexa, Google Assistant and Samsung SmartThings. Controlling the lock via Wi-Fi and the free companion Tapo app also “allows for remote access”, so you can let visitors, dog walkers, and so forth in remotely.

While it might be a super affordable solution in the product category, TP-Link says it maintains Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) Grade 3 certification while “Access Management allows homeowners to generate permanent, one-time and scheduled codes” and “Instant notifications and activity logs ensure users know when their door is being accessed.”

Other highlight features include the auto-lock functionality, IP54 weather-resistant design, up to seven months of battery life, and a USB-C emergency power port that “ensures users are never at risk of being locked out, even without their physical key.”

Features at a glance:

  • Multiple unlocking options: Tapo app, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, keypad, physical key, or voice assistants (Alexa, Google Assistant, Samsung SmartThings)
  • Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association Grade 3 certification
  • Flexible access management with permanent, one-time, and scheduled codes
  • Instant alerts and activity logs to track door access in real time
  • Auto-lock functionality when leaving home.
  • IP54 weather-resistant design
  • Up to seven months of battery life, extendable to 10 months in Bluetooth mode

The new Tapo DL100 Smart Deadbolt Door Lock carries a $69.99 list, but you can score one at Amazon right down at just $59.99 shipped via an on-page coupon
