This deal is no longer matched over at Walmart, for the record, and might not last long at Amazon because of it. You’re looking at the best online price ever.
We have been tracking this regularly $999 configuration drop periodically to $825 and then quickly to $812 yesterday afternoon before landing at the $799.84 Amazon all-time low thereafter. This deal was prompted by a Walmart offer that has since come and gone, and Amazon has now price matched.
This is the most affordable M4 MacBook Air in the lineup, and the least pricey current-generation MacBook overall. We did not expect to see a $199 price drop on this model just yet.
As far as we are concerned and considering how popular the new M4 Air lineup has been among readers, this is arguably the best Apple deal of the season, and quite possibly the entire year. At $199 off for a brand new machine that just released 3 months ago, and in its most affordable configuration no less, just after Apple lowered the MSRP and upped its starter RAM game to 16GB, it’s hard to think of a better value in Apple discounts.
We have seen some wild $300 to $400 price drop on brand-new, higher-end configurations in Apple’s current-generation stable of tech. But as you likely already know, the deals don’t tend to get quite that deep on the more affordable configs.
