The Switch accessories have been flooding in from third-parties over the last month or so and the new Dbrand Killswitch controller case. The Killswitch is custom made package designed to wrap your Switch 2 in a rubbery, grippy case while still allowing the system to completely playable while on-the-go and allowing folks to customize the look of the next-gen Nintendo with the brand’s extensive lineup of skins. It is also now on sale for $60.

The package, which by the way is super awesome looking for the record, consists of three rubbery attachments for each Joy-Con and the display/console itself. It also includes some thumb grips, a kickstand, and USB-C charging dock.
AdvertisementThe Switch 2 Killswitch has been purposefully designed from the ground up to ensure that the Joy-Cons can still be detached without removing the case. No locked-in Joy-Cons or complicated latch mechanisms to deal with. Just a pair of perfectly-fitted, protective Joy-Con grips.
One thing that Dbrand has always done quite good – aside from troll the heck out of the major console makers with the best of them – is create accessories that offer a comfortable grip around the tech we use everyday, be it iPhone or a Galaxy device, and now it is bringing its expertise to Switch 2.
In the unlikely event you ever leave your house, the Killswitch Travel Cover provides over 100 lbs of crush-proof protection while in transit. In the far more likely event you get mugged while braving the real world, it doubles as a blunt weapon. Either way, your console is making it to someone’s home in one piece.
While we don’t have a Switch 2 at the office yet (only a matter of hours now), we do have the Killswitch in hand and are very much liking what we are seeing. I’m personally not a fan of those hard plastic attachments you can stick on handheld consoles – there’s just something cheap and not so comfortable about them. Dbrand has opted for a slightly more malleable approach while still maintaining some rigidity for protection by the look and feel of it. Again, we haven’t actually wrapped the Killswitch around a Switch 2 yet, but considering the brand’s pedigree with other gear and how this thing feels, we have high hopes.
Here are some real world images of Killswitch, its packaging, the sweet cover that also houses Switch 2 cartridges, the dock, and the accessories:
It is officially out of the reservation period now too. You can score the new Switch 2 Dbrand Killswitch grip case right now starting from $59.95 shipped – that’s the regular price but you can land it with various skin add-ons at $15 off right now.
