With start times skewed across the coming months, we will be updating this roundup and the prices in it for at least a month, if not slightly more, to ensure to best possible prices are front and center.

The most obvious place to start when it comes to back to school MacBook deals is MacBook Air. It has, for quite some time now, been the most affordable point of entry into the world of MacBook and is, if you ask me, still the best value out there in Apple laptops for all but the most power hungry power users, color correction-addicted video editors, simulation scientists, and on-the-go composers with a convolution reverb affliction (affinity).

So let’s take a look at the deals starting off with the latest-generation M4 MacBook Air – the deals below deliver up to $180 off the prices you’ll pay at Apple:

Now let’s rundown some notable deals on previous-generation MacBook Air models where you can save on ton off the price they launched at. You’ll find some scratched and dented refurbs out there, but these are some new options that we might even buy ourselves:

And now it’s on to the MacBook Pro. If you need some serious power, there are indeed hundreds to be saved right now on Apple’s latest M4/M4 Pro machines:

As far and the previous-generation M3 MacBook Pro models go, there are some notable deals up for grabs over at Best Buy right now – you’ll find all of those right here. We do, however, like all MacBook models (unless you’re getting a wild deal) generally recommend staying away from machines that only have 8GB of RAM at this point. While they don’t exist on the newest models, you will find them floating around out there on previous-gens and they can be a little underwhelming in terms of responsiveness and overall performance these days.
