A lot of people have mixed feelings when it comes to technology, but it can be great when it’s able to take on the tasks we dread. No matter how much we may love our jobs there is always at least one function we wish we didn’t have to do. Whether it’s something that is extremely involved that takes a long time or something so annoyingly tedious we have to really make sure we are doing it correctly. But, think of all the time automation could give back to you! We all have some ideas of how we could spend a little extra time. You might spend it with family, doing the things around the house you never have time for or maybe spend it relaxing playing some video games on your new PS5.

I want to know in the comments ‘Which of your tasks you would want to automate on the job’ and enter to win a PS5!

I think this might already be possible, but I would love to automate writing documentation. Like look at this folder and compile a how-to guide on using this app.

I was going to get a PS5 sooner but now I’ll wait!

I would like to automate running cable. Why do they always need cable run in the summer months? Don’t they know the attic is hot!?!

I am with the majority thus far, as I would automate the onboarding and offboarding process, including all account creations, resource assignments, and virtual desktop provisioning. Thankfully we don’t do this a lot, but it would be worth it to have it automated since someone always forgets something.

“What task would you want to automate on the job?”

Anything Human Resource related. They manage to the exception, not the rule.

Onboarding/offboarding

I was going to say automate when a low Toner comes up to do an order, but that is most of my job sooo… maybe automate email responses to customers with System number/Model number of your copier, since all the info typically given is I need Toner.

My role is very hands on, lots of break/fix issues. There might be some room to automate self-troubleshooting steps, but I couldn’t see anything that I do to be fully automated.

What task would you want to automate on the job?

Policy creation and updates. General documentation for everything.

What task would you want to automate on the job?

Like with so many others: Onboarding and Offboarding.

“What task would you want to automate on the job?”

On boarding is fairly straight forward for us and mostly automated. Off boarding is not and we (IT) don’t always know when an employee leaves. Automating this part would be GREAT!

“What was most impactful in the on-demand webinar?”

How it’s possible to stack automation task between different departments. Also using AI to build better automation tasks and processes. Looking forward to where AI takes this.

What task would you want to automate on the job?

Definitely probably the onboarding offloading procedure for employees. From application data gathering, through selection for interviews, to hiring, to performance reviews and merit raises, to retirement. Automate it, now please

What was most impactful in the on-demand webinar?

The ways to introduce automation in to an employers environment. I am looking at, this fall, what I can begin to automate to ease some of my workload. Exciting!

If I could automate onboarding and offboarding it would free up a lot of time for me.

Like to automate anything that I do daily. Doing IT for a consolidated 911 Emergency Communications Center - you can’t automate much as the nature of the beast. Yes things are changing but not for Public Safety as fast. In reality I would like to automate onboarding better.

User onboarding and offboarding.
