With the restructuring of fees in LogMeIn Central, we are forced to look for a replacement for it. It does not make me happy to leave this tool that I find invaluable, but the $$ is not going to fly. Primary features we need:
Must allow for the end user screen to not blank when we connect.
Central Administration of Remote Access
No Router/Network Modifications required
Granular control of multiple users having to anything from a single machine, to all machines.
Any recommendations?
Thanks!

My previous job used teamviewer, you may find their pay structure more to your liking. You pay per license, with any number of PCs under that license, but only 1 person (or however many licenses you buy) can be using it at any given time.

Is this for allowing your users to connect in and work from home or another location? Why not just setup a VPN and use Remote Desktop.
If this is for remote desktop support, I like DameWare.

I’m in a similar situation, with the need for granular user control being paramount. The new price structure (effectively the result of eliminating LogMeIn Free) makes my current use case with LMI unsustainable.
I’m looking at TeamViewer and Remote Utilities, with maybe GoToMyPC as a long shot.
RDP blanks the screen. A requirement is to not blank the screen.
I have not looked at Dameware in a long time. might have to look at it.

DameWare works good, but I have mine set to blank the screen, I believe there is an option to turn that off.
On Remote Desktop, you can keep the current desktop. Just select LAN and make sure Desktop Background is checked. I use this setting across the VPN and locally and do not have any issues.

But you haven’t specified if this is for users to remote to work or for a support team to provide assistance
Assistance > GoTo Assist (will not blank local screen)
Remote login > LogMeIn Hamachi and RDP (will blank local screen)
I think he’s talking about the local screen. If there’s anyone sitting there, they’re logged out while the remote user logs in.

Gotcha. DamWare will not blank the screen and can be easily managed. You can get a trial and if you decide you want to buy it, wait towards the end of the trial, you will get a discount. When you need to help someone, you can actually push out the DameWare server portion (the client that runs on the workstations) from your computer and then connect. It supports multiple screens as well. I really like it. It is not dependent on a third party in order to run, it runs locally on your LAN.

@ConnectWise
Check around the community for the numerous posts praising it.
‘Blank the desktop’ means it takes over the console session and the user is looking at a blank screen. The solution must have the ability to allow the console session to remain visible to both the end user and the tech.
I need to be able to initiate it from my side (support when users are not present).

@Citrix GoToAssist would be perfect for you then!

Yup check them out. I did a year back when I was looking for a tool to replace the lousy remote control in my RMM, and I am very happy with the single license I got for a 1 time payment, tho at time I wish I can do just another screen when troubleshooting without paying for another license lolz

Take a look at Techinline as a possible option: Pricing | FixMe.IT Remote Desktop, Remote Support Software
It seems to cover just about everything you’ve summarized. I’m available to provide any additional information or set you up with a fully-featured free trial.
I was also very disturbed that my LMI Central subscriptions with Pro were going up to a ridiculous price. I have now switched to Splashtop for our company. The price for me was less than 1/4 what LMI was going to renew at. I have been using now for two weeks without issues so I am on the phone cancelling LMI right now. Good luck to everyone. There are several alternatives, each with their own pricing and feature mixes. Splashtop works for me, might not be right for you.
