Well I feel like a fail asking this as its probably user error seeing as no one else has reported it?
Im getting
Authentication failed. Check the login and password, and ensure that the server is configured for remote connections.
When trying to connect to any of my SQL or SQLexpress servers.
Spiceworks also fines 6 installs but only 4 are “clickable” two of them dont do anything… See attached
I have tired domain users and SQL authentication. I have ensured I can connect though ODBC + SQL manager and the machines scan fine.
I have also check the allow remote connection is open.
Using it on a Win7 box… but this was fixed in 4.5?
I have tried a manaul rescan of the boxes im trying to connect to.
Any thoughts on what im missing?

No Andy, you’re not the only report of this…
We (Terese4797) reported the same or very similar issues with SQL Server 2005 last week which was partially resolved by the update to beta 5, we got past the authentication issue, but still does not return data from the server and then we had the same authentication problem with two SQL server 2008s after the update to bV.
Our issues have been based around/on Vista Business and Windows 7 Professional. Out of 8 server instances offered by the SQL plugin, we had 3 that do nothing, 2 instances of SQL2005 now authenticate, but no data and a couple of SQL2008 outright fail authentication. The beta team are looking at our issues, but we did not yet even make issue of the entries that do nothing.
