4.5 Build VII unable to setup Remote Collector

Hi Guys,

After installing 4.5 VII on a “central server” I installed 4.5 VII on remote servers and set them up as remote collectors. All bar one are working, the one not working “sees” the central server, issues an authorization number but when I connect to the central server the central server comes back with the following error:

“No Remote Collector Was Found”

I went to my central server and under Remote Collectors that paticular Remote Collector is recognised although it is greyed out with the enabled box unticked. Even if I enable it and then delete it, then go through the whole process again it still comes up with the same message and the remote collector appears in the Remote Collector on the central server but once again it is greyed out…

Earlier when I had issues with a remote collector I ended up having to give the non working remote collector the IP address of the central collector. Maybe this could work for you?

Please run the spiceworks_package.exe in your Spiceworks install dir on both the central server and on the remote collector with the problem and send the zip files to me. I’ll send you a pm where to send the files.
