Hello,

My office needs is looking for a scanner that can scan stacks of papers. Currently, we are scanning from the feeder of Konica Minolta MFP bizhub 751. However, this one keep jamming paper, we did have it maintained but the problem keep coming back after a month (because of bulk scanning).

Therefore, we wonder if there are a dedicated ‘industrial’ scanner which is around $1000?

Please advise.

Thank you.

Look into getting a dedicated scanner. I used a Fujitsu scanner at a previous job & it did the job well. Only downfall is that it can’t scan a whole stack at a time. Maybe 60 to 90 pages, then you just reload the next set & start scanning again. Good luck!

From experience I’d also add that cleaning feeders/rollers will need to be part of your maintenance even with a dedicated scanner.

We use a Brother ADS 2800 series and it works great, but does not handle large stacks. We use a Xerox V180 MFP for large stacks of paper but this is overkill (it’s our production printer but we’re happy we can scan from it too).

Look at the Fujitsu FI-7140 or FI-7160 max ADF OF 80 pages. They have two models that can do 500 sheets but pricing is much higher, approx $18k.

Fujitsu’s are expensive but worth the money. As stated, this is the way to go.
