So I have been having a rough week, support wise. One of my clients informed me about several printing issues with different computers and inability to access one of their wireless networks. I decide to take my wife (a non-IT person) with me, given she has helped me in the past when I needed additional help. I instructed her on how to fix the printers, and I tore into the wireless router. At one point, the router rebooted and locked up. Couldn’t access it at all. Ended up doing a factory reset and reconfiguring everything. Three hours later, we finally left the site.
Fast forward to 2:45am - I am awakened by frantic shaking and yelling from my wife. Still asleep and obviously dreaming, she is yelling “The wireless is down! The wireless is down!” while shaking me by both shoulders. Once I wake up enough to figure out what is going on, I said “It’s okay honey, we fixed it.” She stopped, said “Oh, okay” and rolled over to continue sleeping. LOL! Now she knows how I feel sometimes!

Are you sure she’s not an IT-person? At least maybe in spirit?

Hehe never take her to work again if this is the reaction you get. Pray she never witnesses a server go down

I’ve been told by my wife that I sometimes type in my sleep, so I’m not surprised - but that is absolutely hilarious.
My wife is an IT consultant and I can totally imagine this happening. Especially last night when there was a fear that a large amount of data had been lost during a machine crash without backups. We couldn’t verify with operations until this morning that there were no backups as there was no data ← still should have been a backup, but panic over. Pheww.
The question is did she remember having the dream in the morning?
Because if she did then i would agree you may need to stop bringing your wife to work. Might be to much for her.
That’s cool that she goe with you like that and as a bonus, has some tech savvy (sp?) to help.
@Steve2473 where should I send the bill for my new keyboard? My old one is covered in coffee, luckily I missed the monitor.
That is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read.

That is usually the start of a telephone call/text message after a night of getting PSX’d…
ha ha, that is funny!
I got the sleep talking recorder app for my iphone and one of the strangest ones I have on that is me saying “Export the old data, reimport, new forms and stuff!”
