Hey SpiceHeads!

We’ve created a quick reference guide for you, guys, to help with Active Directory auditing using native tools(Audit Policy settings, ADSI Edit settings, Event Log Viewer).

This guide will show you how to enable Active Directory auditing and what events to monitor in event log viewer. Works well for Windows Server 2003-2012.

Check out the guide here: - https://www.netwrix.com/free_guide_for_ad_auditing.html

We’ve also converted our quick reference guide into spiceworks format, check it out - http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/92771-active-directory-auditing

Enjoy!

PS And using this how-to - http://community.spiceworks.com/how_to/show/76915-automatic-report-about-newly-created-user-accounts-to-an-e-mail you will be able to make notifications of critical events(example - user account creation) sent to your e-mail automatically.

Good write up, but you might just want to remove the weird looking squares at the beginning of the sentence, but that’s just me being a nitpick

Great !!! very useful documents thanks for sharing the information with us.

Thanks, you’ve got a point. Its a pity that How-to’s editor doesn’t have any format tools…

The guide is also available in Spanish.
