Advertising space on pages needs some attention

I am pretty sure that any advertising space that you implement needs to either 1) be vetted, or 2) have a way that you can immediately close and never see them again.

And for #2, I think you can click the > icon in the upper right corner for ad options. That doesn’t go to Spiceworks but rather the ad company. It may help.

Hi Mike, thank you for bringing this to our attention. We’ll bring this up with the proper teams internally and see if we can figure out what is going on.

My assumption is that this is an ad being run through one of the ad services we use. We only allow certain category types of ads, but sometimes an ad gets accidentally miscategorized. We’ll ensure this one also gets reported since the ads via this service (to your point), generally have a “close” option that will give you the option to “stop seeing this ad”.
