I work in a K-8 school and we have 16 UniFi AP-AC-Pro Access Points and 3 UniFi Switch 16 POE-150W switches providing power to these AP’s. After the last firmware update I am having problems with a few AP’s. I now see random units will not take new connections until I restart the AP. Other times a singe AP will drop users. After doing a restart from the switch port they go back to working for a day or two without trouble. I have iPads, ChromeBooks, teacher laptops, printers, and personal devices connecting each day. I have between 100 - 150 devices connected across the network at any one time.
Has anyone else encountered this?
Thanks, Ken

What version have you gone to? Have you checked the unifi forum?

My AC Lites have been buggy forever, in general timeouts for DHCP, but not all devices. I don’t see firmware fixing them anytime soon. Why don’t you just roll back to an earlier firmware?
I haven’t tried looking there. I will look now, thanks.
I was thinking that a roll back would certainly be an option but I will hold that option for last resort. Hoping I can find a solution without having to do that. And yes, these Ubiquiti AP’s have been buggy from the start. Just seems that lately it’s been more pronounced. Thanks!
After doing a firmware “Rollback” to firmware from a year ago all is good. I did the Rollback a couple weeks ago and immediately my problem was fixed. I was waiting for the issue to come back but it never did. Now I have to decide when or even if I should update the firmware when a new one comes out. Worse case the Rollback is an easy process but I will skip the next one or two updates.
Thanks to all that contributed.
