We’re deploying some Samsung Galaxy Tablets and want to implement restricted profiles (Which we’ve done in the past with other brand tablets on an older Android OS).

If I create a restrictive profile named “Test User” you can select which apps they can and cannot use.

After downloading a new app, you should be then allowed to open the app list, and allow that app to be used on that restricted profile. The newly downloaded app simply doesn’t show up.

I’ve rebooted the tablet, then created a new restricted profile and it still doesn’t show up.

Anyone else deal with this? Below are two examples, one of the old OS and one of the new OS (Photo from a different post):

Unfortunately, it looks like you aren’t alone:

In looking around some other sites too, it seems this is a pretty widespread issue with no real fix that I was able to find. The resolution for a lot of folks was to move to an app-based security system, such as Google Family Link. I’m not sure if this is possible for you and your scenario (I’m not sure if this is for family or business) but I figured I’d let you know.

Best of luck!
