There I said it. Flame on!

I stopped reading Wheel after the 6th or 7th book. Just started getting dry to me. As for ASOIAF, only read 2 chapters of the first book and put it down. So I guess in answer to your question, Wheel wins by virtue of I read more of it.

Fo’ Sho. There is way less incest, for one thing.
They both went downhill fast after the first few good books.

So is it worth it to read either series? I haven’t read any, but I like fantasy.

Both very worth reading. The top 2 fantasy series I have ever read.

WoT is so, so long though…12, 13 books? At least ASoIaF is shorter…

I’ll have to go with ASoIaF over WoT - though I’m only on the third book…
Wheel got too redundant for me to continue
Wheel got out of hand by the end, consensus here agrees, apparently, but I did actually finish the entire series, so have to go with WoT.
I don’t know what ASoIaF is so I guess WoT. My favorite book series right now is the Dresden Files by Jim Butcher. Love those books.

A Song of Ice and Fire aka Game of Thrones.
I’d currently have to say Wheel of Time. Need to give ASOIAF another shot though.

I have avoided WoT because the original author was not able to finish the series. ASoIaF is by far my favorite series. If George RR Martin were to die I think I would spiral into depression. Write faster George!
