I’ve noticed that software that has been uninstalled is still listed in the software inventory. I this case, it was a couple of trailware applications that I installed and unstalled later on.

Is there a way to get SpiceWorks to auto-update the software inventory when an application is uninstalled?

How about a way to over ride and manually delete the item?

If I remember correctly this was a bug in ver. 1.5 that was corrected in 1.6 and maintained in 1.7. This should no longer be an issue.

Couple of things:

  • Turn off incremental scanning to make sure that SpiceWorks is displaying the latest scan data
  • Many apps don’t actually fully uninstall and SpiceWorks helps you to detect those. Use CCleaner to clean out vestiges of old applications that won’t go away. MS Office is a prime example of this.
