i have setup up a Computer and user policy which need to apply to a certain computers and user in a department. but is there a way that you could apply the settings to this certain group of people who are using specific set of computer with out them moving on to a separate OU ?? Yes. You can target your GPO to a certain user set. This can be done by using security groups. Essentially you can make it so that GPO is only applied to that security group.
