I have used Mdeamon user since 8 years and I am wondering if there are others in Belgium, because it seems that only exchange is used out here. Specially in West Flanders it seems to be the most common.

Hi,

We use MDaemon+Outlook Connector (500 users). Very happy with the MDaemon mailserver, a little bit less happy with Outlook Connector.

indeed the outlook connector is absolutely not good, we have 50 users here and it already performs bad, so I guess with 500 users it must be a disaster.

Luckely we mainly have thunderbird clients, if I would have much users with the connector, I guess I would go for Zimbra.

Often salesmen try to tell me that no one uses Mdaemon in Belgium and exchange is the only way to go, I followed courses for exchange and I can tell you that it is not very straightforward. So that is why I was wondering if I really was the only one who used MDaemon in Belgium ;-). You prooved I am not, thx

OC is not so bad as you may think. Performance-wise it is very acceptable, and it works very solid for about 95% of the users. It’s the 5% with problems that take up a lot of time though.

I have 7 oc users and they all have problems.

Stability is the main issue and the startup of outlook is very slow.

Used it in the past then we moved over tl exchange when the company growd for out of the box connections.
