Anyone here using lightsail. I used it for a couple of weeks and made a little rocket chat server and left it running not stop for the three weeks I was testing with it. I was wanting to ask before I go up to another tier and make a email server. If I leave this thing running 24/7 would it charge just the tier I am on or would there more cost with associated with it? Just wanted to make sure before I got a surprise bill.

It’s a good product, but at double the cost of Vultr, we don’t use it. If you really need access to Amazon specific features, it’s a good way to get VPS there. But the cost is too high for us as it is not competitive with Linode and Vultr.
Using Aws is just for personal use
Oh then DEFINITELY move to Vultr. Cutting your cost in half is even a bigger deal then.
