It’s taken three tries to get to community links from the dashboard for me.
The first couple of time I get the page with:
Could Not Connect to the Spiceworks Community
It worked on the third try.

Hi Mark,
Thanks for testing the Beta! Usually the “cannot connect to the Community” error pops up when traffic between your install and our Community services is blocked by a firewall, web filter, or proxy server. Do you have any of the three in place by chance? Thanks!

Behind a firewall of course.
The 5.1 version doesn’t have any problems (production spiceworks) though which is why I mentioned it.

Gotcha. We ran into this with 4.7 to 5.0 as well. Since there are some changes that require more outward access (such as the ISP check, etc), so sometimes Firewalls will catch it and block outgoing traffic. That may be what happened to you. Things are working for you now though, correct? Thanks!

Glad to hear it! Let us know if the issue pops back up again and we can investigate. Thanks for your time!
