Brand new user, coming over from Symantec Endpoint Protection Cloud. BitDefender is blocking access to our CMS (ExpressionEngine v1.73, which is, granted, very old and obscure). BD reports it contains a malicious attack attempt, PrivacyThreat.PasswordStealer.HTTP, which I think is a false positive (SEP didn’t block it). I set up a firewall rule and a web access control exclusion (both are in force now), to try to get it to allow us access, but those don’t work. As a brand new user, I may not have done them correctly, although it seems like a fairly straightforward process.

Please let me know what more information you might need, and thanks for any advice.

Dear Jeffery,

Run a blocked applications report, and you can add the exclusion right from the report!

@j-r-guthrie , in my case it was the network incidents report, but that did the trick!

Thank you!

GREAT!

We have requested exclusion entry from ALL reports!

I do see a link to add an exception from the blocked applications Web site, but the report did not return any blocked applications, so the link remains grayed out. I also tried the blocked Websites report, but I didn’t see a link to add an exception in that one.

Hi OP - Glad you were able to get the help you need!

Thank you, Kelly. I had opened a ticket with Bitdefender, too. I haven’t heard back yet, so if you’re able to have that cancelled, feel free.

Thanks for letting me know!
