I had a weird thing happen today where a blue star appeared over my profile and when I clicked, it went away. I searched online and haven’t seen much about it but others have experienced this. Here are a couple screenshots of the what it looked it.

I ran some malware and spyware scans but they all came back clean. Just curious or if I should reload my OS?

You’re not alone, it doesn’t seem to be malicious either, but the cause isn’t something anyone seems to know. It is believed it may be for notifications.

Some have reported it appeared after installing WinAero, perhaps it’s related
